For over six decades, he was South Florida’s unofficial ambassador of the arts and media. Charlie Cinnamon: Legendary Press Agent, June 19 through mid-September at the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, Miami Beach, is a singular look at star-studded treasures from his personal archives, such as diamond cufflinks given to him by Elizabeth Taylor, as well as at the behind-the-scenes world of the entertainment industry.
“He handled the press for all the tours that played South Florida,” says producer-director Richard Jay-Alexander, who is producing the exhibit with photographer Manny Hernandez. “When he called on the phone, people answered.”
Cinnamon, who continued working until the age of 94, died in 2016.
