Why move into just a home when you can move into a whole community, complete with all the activities and services you’d ever dream of?
Imagine having golf out your back door, a full tennis facility with pro shop, a state-of-the-art fitness center you can walk to or a full-service spa to get your massage on.
Many luxury homes in South Florida – both single-family and condominiums – offer these amenities and more. And, in a trend partially accelerated by the coronavirus pandemic, homebuyers are demanding extensive amenities more and more when they search for a home.
“People aren’t just purchasing a place to live – they are buying into a lifestyle,” says Chad Carroll, a real estate agent with Compass Florida in Fort Lauderdale. “Whether you are a boater, golfer, into wellness or the outdoors, choosing a community with amenities that cater to your desired lifestyle is more important now than ever before. People want a place where they never have to leave.”
Carroll said that homes located in communities with extensive amenities on-site also sell for higher prices.
A survey released in March 2021 by the National Association of Home Builders found that community features that allow residents to exercise or play sports outdoors while in the security of their own community were increasingly popular.
But why travel to a resort to enjoy all the activities you love? The homes here offer you the ability to live where you play.
