This year’s Cuisine for Art promises to be a “Get Down Tonight” kind of affair as KC of The Sunshine Band fame is honored at the 20th annual Art and Culture Center/Hollywood fundraiser on May 19.
Harry Wayne “KC” Casey, the South Florida musical icon and Grammy Award-winner who’s sold over 100 million records worldwide, is only one attraction of the soirée to be held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. A host of elected officials and community leaders will serve as “celebrity waiters” for the three-course dinner. And direct from California, a “Cabaret of Stars” will feature performances by “Cher,” “Dolly Parton” and “Whitney Houston” – impersonated by Michael Dean, Kevin Wiley and Cee Cee Russell, respectively.
Complimentary wine, beer and vodka cocktails will be served, beginning with a 6:30 p.m. cocktail reception and auction followed by the 7:30 p.m. dinner and entertainment. And don’t forget the after-party – uh-huh, uh-huh.
Tickets are $135. Sponsorships range from $800 to $5,000. For more info, please visit artandculturecenter.org/20th-annual-cuisine-for-art
