So, South Florida now has its own Eiffel Tower.
Except it’s shaped like a guitar.
Two years after construction began, the Giant Guitar at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is just about to make its debut. The 450-foot tower contoured like the body of a guitar is our instant iconic landmark. Its 12 “strings” of light will project the guitar’s neck high into the night sky above the unobstructed landscape of west Hollywood, expected to make the 638-room hotel visible from South Beach to Boca.
As the largest guitar-like structure in the world, it will make — indeed, it already is — a stunning sight. But, we wonder, what will it sound like? When it opens on Oct. 24, what is the song that the Giant Guitar should be playing? It’s a good bet it’d be a rocker — but maybe not? What do you think?
Send us your best guess for the song(s) that should be playing on the Giant Guitar and your submission could be mentioned in a story in our October issue, coming out Oct. 6. Also, the person who submits the best song idea will be awarded two tickets to this year’s Men of Style bash, honoring Broward County’s leading men, Dec. 5 at The Galleria in Fort Lauderdale, sponsored by City & Shore magazine. (Did we mention it’s the party of the year?)
Entries must be received by noon on Sept. 16 at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be sure to include your name, your city and an email address or phone number.
