It sounds like an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Star and Seinfeld co-creator Larry David turns an old Seinfeld plot – say, the one about JFK’s golf clubs – into an absurd scene in his own “real” life.
Only now, it actually is real life.
One of John F. Kennedy’s golf clubs will be auctioned off in a March 21 benefit for the American Cancer Society. And the auctioneer? Mr. Peterman himself – rather, John O’Hurley, who played Elaine’s boss in the 1996 Seinfeld episode and for whom she bid on JFK’s auctioned golf clubs.
The MacGregor wedge highlights the live auction at the society’s 48th Annual 19th Hole Club, presented by the Addison Hines Charitable Trust at Trump International Golf Club, West Palm Beach. O’Hurley will also perform his one-man show, A Man With Standards, to benefit the society March 20 at The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach.
Tickets and sponsorships start at $350. Call Candi Spitz at 561-655-3449.
