Stoking the dining and socializing scene on Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Boulevard, Grille 401 recently added a new lobby bar that opens onto an outdoor deck, plus a sushi and saki bar that serves late into the night.
The new additions are definitely contributing to the nightlife experience at Grille 401, says General Manager Callum Molloy. “They provide us with better visibility on the street, and the live music and energy really draw people in.”
For the late crowd, the bar is open Wednesday and Thursday until 1 a.m. with half-priced sushi starting at 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday until 2 a.m. with half-priced sushi from 11 p.m. For after-work patrons, happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4-7 p.m. with two-for-one drinks and half-priced appetizers.
Grille 401 also serves more substantial fare for lunch or dinner with seating on two levels in the stylish restaurant. Seasonal American-fusion cuisine includes steak and seafood from the wood-burning grill. Sunday nights the kitchen turns to Southern comfort – home-style dinners with an entrée, side, dessert and a glass of house wine for $29 ($11 for kids, hold the wine and bring on the hot-fudge sundae). Consider one recent bill of fare: Certified Angus Meatloaf with Shiitake Stroganoff and Parmesan Potatoes. It’s just like Mom would make, if Mom had gone to culinary school.
