Matt Blashaw of DYI Network’s Yard Crashers, Money Hunters, Deconstruction and Product Extreme, will present inspired ideas to create your perfect backyard at the Fort Lauderdale Home Design and Remodeling Show at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. May 27 and 28 at the Broward County Convention Center.

Blashaw will show transformations from the latest season of Yard Crashers and talk about what’s trending in landscape design.

“The hardest part of renovating a backyard is figuring out where to start,” he says. “I will give people my secrets to designing a backyard that is not only beautiful but functional year-round.”

As always, the show will have booths on everything from patio furniture and grills to home automation, furnishings and hurricane protection.

Roberta Black of RB Design in Hallandale Beach and Francy Arria of Max Space Design and Décor in North Miami will each create room vignettes that will provide ideas for your home.

Members of the Florida Master Gardeners of Broward County Parks and Recreation will present seminars throughout the three-day weekend and Marty Kiar, Broward County Property Appraiser, will discuss property tax saving exemptions at 1 p.m. May 26.
