Positano Beach: Riviera on the Broadwalk

The Hollywood-based developer of 200 East in Boca Raton and The Villas of Positano in Hollywood will soon be breaking ground on his latest project: Positano Beach, a 17-unit luxury condominium where prices range from $1.4 million to $1.895 million for units starting at 3,200 square feet.

“This is not a vacation home — it’s a residence, a beachfront home,” says Lon Tabatchnick, president of The Lojeta Group, who is building the Italian Riviera-influenced Positano Beach as a joint venture with Livingston, N.J.-based Millennium Homes. “And with only 17 units, this boutique building lends itself to a little more privacy and more personalized service.”

Situated at 3415 N. Ocean Drive in Hollywood, the seven-story Positano Beach offers amenities such as a pool and cabanas on the Broadwalk, a gym with sauna and massage room, concierge service and a valet. Units feature top-of-the-line appliances, gas cooktops, stone flooring, custom kitchen cabinets with granite countertops, hurricane-impact glass and large patios ranging from 800 to 3,000 square feet.

Tabatchnick received final approval for the project from the City of Hollywood in October and plans to break ground during the first quarter of 2013. Construction should take approximately 18 months.

“There has been a tremendous amount of absorption in the condominium market, especially in larger-sized units,” Tabatchnick says. “There’s a real need for this size unit on the beach.”

Approximately half of the units are already reserved, with buyers coming from the United States, Canada and South America. “It really is someone who wants to spend a majority of their time here and make this their home base,” he adds.

Tabatchnick says that Positano Beach offers larger units and a more convenient location than competing projects. “Some places in Sunny Isles and farther south are tough to get to due to lack of bridges,” he says. “But we offer a really great location to plant your roots and to be able to take advantage of everything that South Florida has to offer.”
