Since this is a special issue of City & Shore, full of updates on home design, furnishings and décor, I thought I’d update a few developments at the magazine, too.
For starters, we are now publishing 10 issues of City & Shore each year, plus two PRIME magazines targeting readers age 50 and up. PRIME was an instant success for us in 2014, and you can still read the digital versions online at cityandshore.com.
City & Shore and PRIME are delivered with the Pulitzer Prize-winning Sun Sentinel to 46,000 households (50,000 in season) in affluent areas in Broward and south Palm Beach (Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach) counties. We also now deliver to prominent residential buildings that have requested the magazine for their communal mail rooms, including Las Olas River House, The WaterGarden, Las Olas Grand, Sea Ranch Lakes, One Plantation and Mizner Court Condominiums.
Unlike some other magazines in our market, we never toss out our magazines in bulk drops – hoping a passerby will pick one up off the street or maybe a bar stool. We have verifiable subscribers, and readers, in print, online and on iPad.
We are proud of our editorial staff’s recent accomplishments. City & Shore magazine has won 15 national and state journalism awards in the past three years, including first place awards for niche publication and commentary in Society for Features Journalism, state Society of Professional Journalists and Florida Press Club competitions. Our stories have appeared as op-ed pieces in the Sun Sentinel and other Tribune Publishing and social media outlets.
We’ve grown and improved over the years because we listen to our readers, and we’d especially love to hear from you now, as we move into our 15th anniversary year. What is new and exciting in your South Florida life? How can we help you live it to the fullest? What should we be paying more attention to? What should we be paying less attention to?

As we share this special home edition of the magazine, it reminds us that you invite us into your home each issue.
That is special to us. And we want to be good company.
