With the South Florida housing market continuing to boom as Broward County prices approach an annual spike of 20 percent, investing in your home is like playing with smart money. And as for the best ways to spend it — that’s where the Fort Lauderdale Home Design and Remodeling Show comes in.

From Feb 4-6 at the Broward County Convention Center, South Florida’s largest home design and improvement expo features hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of products. From fine art to home automation, exhibitions will span the design spectrum with one-on-one product demonstrations, discussion panels and a superlative showcase of cutting-edge trends.

Regardless of design experience or budget, visitors can get inspiration, advice and direct quotes as they browse or shop for goods and services from industry staples and independent brands, as well as attend interactive panels with design experts and celebrity guests. This year’s celeb is TV personality Craig Conover, from Bravo’s Summer House reality series, which debuts its new season Jan. 17.

The home show runs from noon to 9:30 p.m. Feb 4-5 and noon to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Tickets are $12. homeshows.net.
