Delray Beach developer Frank McKinney, known for building oceanfront estate homes on spec, has unveiled his latest project: a two-story, 4,087-square-foot home at 19 Tropical Drive in Ocean Ridge that he describes as a “micro-mansion.” The three-bedroom home, located 345 feet from the beach, features sea-glass kitchen countertops, a master bedroom shower with trees growing into it, a living reef aquarium wall, a dining table crafted from a single piece of driftwood and a sun deck floating between two pools. McKinney designed it to appeal to a buyer who wants to size down from a $10 million oceanfront estate to a single-family home that offers privacy and low maintenance. He is so confident that his micro-mansion concept will succeed that he recently purchased a second piece of land, this time on the ocean, on which to build another one. Details: $3.9 million, furnished.
