Sunrise-based G.L. Homes may have only launched sales Jan. 12 for Lotus, a new single-family home community in Boca Raton, but the concept is already popular. Within two months of opening, 120 of the 805 homes at Lotus were sold, with 67 sales occurring during the opening weekend alone. Perhaps that’s because the gated community is designed to appeal to buyers of all ages, from families to empty-nesters. Lotus, off Lyons Road just north of Clint Moore Road, offers 12 contemporary one- and two-story floor plans ranging from 1,966 to 5,160 air-conditioned square feet. Standard features include kitchens with granite or Corian countertops and GE Profile appliances, 12- x 24-inch porcelain floor tiles and impact-resistant windows and doors. Community amenities offer something for everyone, including a 19,000-square-foot clubhouse with clay tennis courts and pro shop, pickleball, resort-style pool, cabanas, spa, basketball court, playground, yoga lawn, lounge with bar, indoor sports court, fitness center, game room and kids’ playroom. Current base prices for the two- to five-bedroom homes range from $594,900 to $964,900, and the first residents are expected to take occupancy by the end of this year.
