City & Shore Magazine is a finalist for four awards announced Friday in the Society of Professional Journalists annual “Sunshine State Awards,’’ for Trade or Special Interest Publication, Cover Design, Best Single Issue and Commentary & Criticism. The winners will be announced later this summer.
City & Shore Magazine Editor Mark Gauert on Thursday also won Second Place in the Green Eyeshade Awards, the Society of Professional Journalists’ recognition of the best journalism in the Southeastern United States, in the Humorous Commentary / Magazines category, for his editor’s letter, First Words.
