City & Shore, Explore Florida & the Caribbean and City & Shore PRIME magazines are finalists for nine awards this year from the Florida Magazine Association and the Society of Professional Journalists Sunshine State Awards. In addition, City & Shore Editor Mark Gauert won three SPJ Green Eyeshade Awards on Monday (6/28), “recognizing the very best journalism in the southeastern United States,” for humorous commentary and travel writing; and second place in national competition on June 15 for Lifestyles column writing from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists.
