City & Shore Magazine has won first place in the niche media category of the national Society for Features Journalism competition (featuresjournalism.org). The award was presented at the University of Maryland in August. The full list of winners in the competition appear below – we congratulate all of them, and we are honored to be in their company.
City & Shore also won three awards in June at the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) “Sunshine State Awards.” Art Director/Designer Anderson Greene won first place for a collection of his work in the magazine Cover category; and second place in the Inside Design categories; and Editor & Publisher Mark Gauert won first place for his Here & Now column in the Commentary & Criticism category.
