State, national 1st place awards for City & Shore

City & Shore Magazine has won first place in the niche media category of the national Society for Features Journalism competition ( The award was presented at the University of Maryland in August. The full list of winners in the competition appear below – we congratulate all of them, and we are honored to be in their company.

City & Shore also won three awards in June at the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) “Sunshine State Awards.” Art Director/Designer Anderson Greene won first place for a collection of his work in the magazine Cover category; and second place in the Inside Design categories; and Editor & Publisher Mark Gauert won first place for his Here & Now column in the Commentary & Criticism category. We are honored to be included in a field of competitors that included Boca Raton Magazine, The Miami Herald, The Palm Beach Post and other media throughout the state.
