8  NAMIWalks Your Way: A United Day of Hope, an event presented by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Broward County to magnify mental health awareness, promote mental health and wellness and raise funds to support NAMI’s programs. 8 a.m. at Nova Southeastern University, 3301 College Ave., Fort Lauderdale. There is no fee to register as a walker or team captain, but everyone who raises $100 will receive an event T-shirt.

13  The Heart Gallery of Broward County’s Eat Your Heart Out culinary feast, sponsored by City & Shore magazine, to raise funds for the hardest-to-place foster children in Broward County. 19-22 The South Beach Seafood Festival returns for its 10th anniversary, a four-day festival that couples South Florida’s bounty of seafood with the region’s most notable chefs and restaurants. 27  Every Sole Counts, a dinner and auction benefiting In Jacob’s Shoes, a nonprofit that provides shoes, socks, backpacks and school supplies to local children in need.
