30  Jack & Jill Center hosts the 20th Annual Light Up Downtown event, featuring the lighting of a 30-foot tree, unlimited drinks and appetizers and much more safe and socially distanced fun. 6 p.m. at 301 E. Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale. Tickets start at $125. 


Galleria Fort Lauderdale’s Ford Men of Style, presented by Signature Grand, a widely (and often wildly) popular charity fashion fundraiser benefiting 12 local non-profit organizations while showcasing influential men who have a positive effect on our community. Show support for your favorite man or charity by casting online votes for $25 each, with proceeds benefiting the participating charities. 4  The Sixth Annual Empty Bowls Delray Beach, an event that invites attendees to enjoy a simple meal of soup, bread and water to benefit the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Guests can enjoy the event in person or as a drive-through. 11 a.m. at Trinity Delray Lutheran Church and School, 400 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach. $30.

4-5 The 21st Annual Downtown Delray Beach Art Festival on 4th, a free juried art happening featuring photography, ceramics, fiber art, glasswork, paintings, sculpture and more. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 401 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach. Free.

5  Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus presents “Jingle All the Way,” a festive mix of traditional holiday favorites and contemporary carols. 7 p.m. at United Church of Christ, 2501 NE 30th St., Fort Lauderdale. $25, general; $40, VIP. 954-832-0060,

8  The 50th Annual Holiday Street Parade, featuring dozens of floats and groups that will entertain viewers as they bring dance, lights and song to Federal Highway in downtown Boca Raton. The parade will start at Federal Highway and SE Fifth Street and travel north to Mizner Park. 7:30-9 p.m. Free. 561-393-7967,

8  Community Foundation of Broward, the Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Broward County and United Way of Broward County host the 20th Annual Joint Tax & Estate Planning Seminar, an educational forum for attorneys, certified public accountants, investment consultants, financial advisors and business professionals throughout Broward County. 7:30 a.m. at Nova Southeastern University, Davie. $75.  954-817-5852,

9  Business for the Arts Broward’s Art & Somm, an intimate evening featuring a guided wine tasting and food pairing with Chicago sommelier Daniel Levin, an artist encounter with Hector Prado and entertainment by Music for America. 5:30 p.m. at The Main, 201 E. 9-12  The annual Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival, a four-day lineup of celebrity chef events that includes both intimate gatherings and lively events, as well as wine tastings, cocktail events and cooking demonstrations. Times, venues and prices vary. 800-210-0689,

18  The 47th Annual Holiday Boat Parade will light up the Intracoastal Waterway in Boca Raton, from the C-15 Canal and traveling south. Bleacher viewing will be available at Red Reef Park. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Free. 561-393-7967,

11  The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade. Starting in downtown Fort Lauderdale at 6:30 p.m. and traveling to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach, the parade is 12 miles of the “best show on H2O.” Free; tickets in the parade viewing area at Las Olas Intracoastal Park start at $15.

16  Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular, featuring acrobats, aerialists, hilarious hijinks and holiday cheer. 7 p.m. at Coral Springs Center for the Arts. Tickets start at $42.27. 954-344-5990,

24  Friday Night Sound Waves Christmas Eve Concert, featuring a night of Sinatra, with a performance by Jeff Grainger and The Hoboken 11 Big Band. Bring a chair or blanket; alcohol is prohibited. 6:30 p.m. at Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd. Free.


1  Something Big Yoga 2022, touted as the largest free live-music yoga bash in America, sponsored by Yoga Journey and Baptist Health South Florida. The event includes yoga to live music, a marketplace and gourmet food trucks. 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Mizner Park Amphitheater, Boca Raton.

8-9  34th Annual Las Olas Art Fair, with more than 250 artists from around the world displaying sculptures, glasswork, wearable art, paintings and more. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 620 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Free.

10-16  The Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival returns, offering a full week of foodie-driven events, including the signature Grand Tasting and free Family Day presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The festival also includes intimate chef-driven dinners, food and beverage classes and a few new surprises. Dates, times, venues and prices vary.

Save the Date …

Jan. 28  Billy Joel returns to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. 8 p.m. Tickets start at $105.

Feb. 25-27, 2022  The 15th annual Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance, presented by Mercedes-Benz and AutoNation, benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, and sponsored by City & Shore magazine. The weekend kicks off on Friday with an invitation-only Private VIP Welcome Reception at The Boca Raton. Saturday includes the formal Grand Gala Seated Dinner, Live Auction & Comedian Standup Performance at The Boca Raton, featuring a private performance by comedian Howie Mandel. The weekend continues on Sunday with the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance led by Grand Marshal Wayne Carini. Guests will experience an automotive showcase with over 200 cars and motorcycles from an array of time period. Times, prices and venues vary.
