The Dellenbach Foundation will host a Celebrity Golf Classic & Auction May 6-7 at Weston Hills Country Club to raise funds for volunteer services and supplies for severely ill and injured children, as well as veterans and their families.
The events begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 6, with a cocktail party and dinner, along with live and silent auctions. Tickets are $125; a table of 10 is $1,000.
That will be followed on Monday, May 7, by a golf tournament, where foursomes will be matched with celebrity players. Celebrities will include Miami Dolphins and other NFL players as well as others from sports and entertainment worlds. Check-in and breakfast start at 7 a.m.; tee-off is at 8 a.m.
The minimum contribution to participate in the golf tournament is $2,500, which includes a foursome and celebrity, as well as eight dinner tickets, says Craig Drucker, president of the Dellenbach Foundation. He hopes to raise about $50,000 from the event.
The Dellenbach Foundation was founded in 2016 by former NFL offensive lineman Jeff Dellenbach and his wife, Mary. Jeff played 15 seasons in the NFL, including 10 with the Dolphins. The former center won Super Bowl XXXI as a member of the Green Bay Packers.
