18  Mutts and Martinis, Fort Lauderdale’s largest outdoor pet-friendly cocktail party. 18  POSTPONED (New date TBA) The Venetian Arts Society presents Up Close and Personal with Louis Amanti, a performance of American standards by the vocal artist, at the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale. 18-19  More than 65 national and international Jet Ski, WaveRunner and Sea-Doo racers will compete in the 2017 Ford P1 Fort Lauderdale AquaX Grand Prix, a two-day, family-friendly event that’s free to the public. Food and vendors will be on site. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fort Lauderdale Beach at 1140 Seabreeze Blvd. VIP tickets, which include a tented viewing area, lunch, one drink, a swag bag and lounge chairs, are available for $50 per person; kids 12 and under are free with an adult.

23  7th Annual Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot, a Broward County tradition that attracts more than 3,000 participants annually. The event features a 5-K oceanfront run/walk along A1A, along with a Kids’ Dash. Thanksgiving-themed costumes are encouraged. 6 a.m. at the corner of SE Fifth Street and A1A. Entries start at $5.

25-Dec. 19 (run extended) Twenty of the nation’s most-talented designers transformed a 1920s Mediterranean Revival villa  at the Kips Bay Palm Beach Show House, benefiting the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday; noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, at 196 Belmonte Road, West Palm Beach. $35.

Jan. 1  Something BIG 2018, a free yoga class for all ages and all levels. The event includes live music, vendors and more. 10 a.m. at Mizner Park Amphitheater, Boca Raton. Pre-registration is encouraged.

Jan. 27  The 2018 Pegasus World Cup Invitational, with a new record-setting $16 million purse. The event, to be held at Gulfstream Park, is open to 12 thoroughbred-horse owners, who will put in $1 million each for a spot at the starting gate. The additional $4 million will be contributed by The Stronach Group, owners of Gulfstream Park.

Feb. 23-25  The 12th annual Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance, featuring some of the most sought-after collector cars  on display and a weekend of events, including a gala headlined by Tim Allen, benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
