‘Art of Wine’ series at Boca Museum of Art

“Wine can of their wits the wise beguile, make the sage frolic and the serious smile,” wrote the Greek poet Homer. Wine also can provide a new twist to art appreciation, as participants in “The Art of Wine” series at the Boca Raton Museum of Art are discovering.

Museum curators and wine expert Stephanie Miskew joined forces beginning in October for wine tastings and museum tours that explore the finer points of both artwork and the fruit of the vine. The monthly series will run on select Wednesdays through March.

What Spanish wine should one serve with a Picasso? The colors of spring inspire painters; what flavor of wines would pair best with those colors? “The Art of Wine” series will answer those questions, as well as provide commentary on artistic works in the museum’s permanent collection.

Cost for each program is $35 for museum members and $40 for non-members. Reservations are required.
